trying to do a 3D image

I used this as a cover photo in facebook on my birthday. It means:
"It's my happy birthday. Thanks for remembering me."
Made this for our first wedding anniversary

Another attempt to create a 3D effect

Made this for Valentine's Day 2012 for my husband

Dealing with Paper Napkins

Dealing with paper and wet napkins is troublesome for me, especially when I am in a hurry. As much as possible, I would want to make sure that they are still well-arranged after I get one. But I do not understand why companies do the slits at the center of the package, which would only make it difficult to get a napkin the next time if nothing sticks out.

So I thought of a way to make it easy.

Even if no napkin would stick out, you can still get one by pulling it from its corner. I've been using the same cut for my napkins for the last 2 months and definitely happy with it.

happy vibes

I came across with my friend's blog today: http://www.flirtwithhappiness.com/
And then I felt so happy inside. She's just full of happy vibes. I met her in college through my seniors, and since that day she just keeps on inspiring me. She doesn't know this of course.

She said:

"maraming lungkot pero dapat mas marami ang saya sa buhay isang beses lang eh! Hihihi"
There is a lot of sadness, but there should be more happiness in life. We just live once.
I hope to keep happy vibes coming. Happy vibes everyone!

Doodles and Doodles

When I was in college, I used to doodle at the back of my answer booklet during exams. We called it "bluebook". I knew I would remember the things I studied the night before if I doodled. And so I doodled and doodled.

After the examinations week, we got our bluebooks and one of my professors wrote the longest letter I ever had from a teacher. She did not like what I did, and told me I was not worthy to be in the university. (It was the national university, and my tuition fee was subsidized greatly by the government)

Her letter did not bother me at all. I knew doodling was my way to focus and calm my anxious mind.  That bluebook was for 'keeps'.

And just this year, I learned that many people are actually doodling to recover from painful experiences; to calm the troubled mind. For some, they call it Zendoodle. I am not just sure if they use specific strokes, shapes, and patterns, to call one doodle as Zendoodle.

The image above is my first doodle patterned after some zen samplers that are available in YouTube. My strokes are not that fine compared to others, but I don't mind. You do not need to be good at drawing in doodling. Just doodle whatever comes to your mind, and be surprised with the result!

I think my doodle looks more like Nemo the fish.

First post

My job is writing online. Ironically, I have lost time updating my journal (maybe because I'm often in front of the pc). Before giving birth, I made some entries using notepad. I planned to print them out and stick them to my journal later. However, I always forget. They are now long overdue.

As of date, I have just written one entry after having my daughter. I decided to have this blog to keep a record of the things that I do and think. This is a good reference.

I find it helpful to refer to my journal whenever I want to remember details from the past, so I thought I can have another online.

Note:This blog would consist of different themes.
